We have received many questions and query searches for “micro niche finder for mac.” In fact, this happens almost every day. It is our expectation that James, Kevin and the Micro Niche Finder team also field similar questions regularly.

Micro Niche Finder is an excellent product [which is why we use it]. It is not surprising that many Mac users have heard about the quality of this product and want to purchase a copy. We are unaware of any Mac version in the works. Micro Niche Finder runs on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Virtual Desktop Software
The only solution for running Micro Niche Finder on a Mac at this point appears to be via use of desktop virtualization software such as Parallels Desktop for Mac or VMware Fusion 3. Both of these products allow users to run both Windows and Mac OS X applications side-by-side without rebooting.

We have not used either Parallels or VMware Fusion, although James has indicated that some users are running Micro Niche Finder on Parallels on Macintosh.

Are you using Parallels or VMware Fusion? If you are one of those who has run Micro Niche Finder successfully [or unsuccessfully] on a Mac using either of these two products, or any type of Mac-based desktop virtualization, please comment below and give us your thoughts and suggestions.

These are the primary changes introduced in v. 5.6.x updates…

5.6.14 – July 12, 2011 (Hanging Issue)

 · Search algorithm update prevent search “hangs” for single returned result
· Updated Keyword Tool parsing engine
· Error-checking for corrupted data files

5.6.9 – June 10, 2011 (Google Keyword Tool Update)

 · Error-checking during search to allow “hung” searches to be canceled

5.6.8 – June 1, 2011

 · Removed OCI from Micro Niche Finder

OCI is the “online commercial intent” tool previously operated by Microsoft. This tool has been inoperative for several months; we suspect that Microsoft no longer has intention of supporting it. It was used by a number of keyword software tools, including the moneyword matrix keyword product from Niche Profit Classroom. Eventually, someone will fill this void; meanwhile, using ad cost data as the measure of commercial intent seems like a reasonable substitute.

5.6.7 – May 28, 2011

 · Bad Request (Error 400) from Google changes introduced in 5.6.6

This version requires AdWords Login integration in Micro Niche Finder to retrieve Ad Cost information!!!

5.6.4 – May 11, 2011

 ·	Updated parsing engine to properly parse Ad Cost for all search types
·	Google has dropped the Ad Cost column from results for searches which are performed when logged-out of AdWords (with captcha).

5.6.2 – April 27, 2011

 · Some users were reporting issues with “Micro Niche Finder cannot find the search button on the Keyword Tool Site” Google has been redirectingusers to AdWords Campaign Management instead of the Keyword Tool. This update re-loads the Keyword Tool page when search button cannot be found.
· MOB (measure of backlinks) can be added to queue, even if phrase counts have not yet been retrieved.

5.6.1 – April 24, 2011

 · Fatal Error Fixed – Micro Niche Finder crashes when exporting Project results to XLS
· Fatal Error Fixed – Micro Niche Finder crashes if status bar panels can’t be accessed when checking internet connectivity

5.6.0 – April 20, 2011

 · Addition of the Majestic SEO API (vs. Yahoo!) for backlink counts

“…Google has recently implemented a LOT of changes to their keyword tool, including the roll out of an entirely new Google Keyword Tool to replace their old one. As of Wednesday Google has turned off the old keyword tool so this has caused Micro Niche Finder to no longer pull search results.

The good news is Kevin has figured out how to connect to the new keyword tool and pull results. Right now its just a matter is some details that he wants to get working before we roll out the new search tool implementation.

Please Give Kevin a couple of days to get things wrapped up. I’ll send an email out as soon as its ready. “

We know that these Google changes have also affected other keyword tools. As James noted, a Micro Niche Finder update should be available soon.

One of the most frequent search terms we see bringing incoming visitors to our site is “micro niche finder trial.” Clearly, there are large numbers of people who have heard about Micro Niche Finder and want either a free trial or, perhaps, something like the $4.95 trials that we have seen many Internet product marketers offer in recent months.

To our knowledge, James J Jones, LLC does NOT offer any form of trial version of Micro Niche Finder 5.0. Want to get comfortable with MNF? There are many video tutorials that are available going back as far as Micro Niche Finder Version 2.0. For those who wonder what type of results Micro Niche Finder produces, a $4.95 trial of The Niche Informant is available. This is a monthly membership that provides pre-researched (using Micro Niche Finder) high-demand/low-competition niches, PLR articles for each niche, several longtail keywords, and links to high-profit affilate programs related to the researched niches. The Niche Informant is a very worthwhile membership program.

For those who prefer to install Micro Niche Finder on their own computers and find their own niches, remember that the product comes with a money back guarantee, so if it clearly does not meet your needs, you will not be out of any money. However, we recommend that you do not buy it unless your plan is to continue to use it to find profitable niches long after the guarantee period has come and gone. The $100 (one-time fee) you will spend for Micro Niche Finder is absolutely nothing compared to the money you can make from just one good affiliate niche.

Is Micro Niche Finder 5.0 performing flawlessly on your Windows installation?

James noted in the May 28, 2010 issue of the “Every Other Friday Newsletter” that some users with older Windows service packs may have experienced some (unspecified) problems with Micro Niche Finder. This includes Windows XP SP1, XP SP2, and Vista with no SP. By exclusion, we assume that Windows 7 users have not experienced the same problems.

Most of these issues, James notes, can be fixed by making sure you are running the latest service pack for your Windows version.

The latest service pack for Windows XP is SP3, and for Vista it is SP2. Microsoft no longer supports the XP/SP1 combination, or Vista with no SP. Also, support for Windows XP with SP2 will cease on July 13, 2010.

Microsoft’s official recommendation is upgrade to Windows 7 (surprise). Those not ready to purchase Windows 7, should install SP3 for Windows XP, or SP2 for Windows Vista.

James provides a convenient link to a Microsoft page with the latest service pack recommendations at http://www.snip2.com/re/windows.
